Beijing was insane!
I arrived Wednesday, and was kindly picked up with artist extraordinaire, Phil Hale, at Beijing airport and taken to our wonderful hotel! (Thanks 3A!!! x x x )
People had queued for days for the exclusive toys that 3A produced, and to get signed books!
We finished setting up the show with only minutes to spare!
There was even a 1:1 scale Martin bot! It's cast iron, and articulated! 3A don't fuck around when it comes to robots!
The show opened Thursday night with a private view, where we opened champagne, and did a live art event!
There was a fantastic mix of foreign visitors, Beijing locals, toy robots, and beautiful paintings!
Jeremy Geddes, Pitu, Soph Geddes, and Ashley Wood, in front of prints of Jeremy's beautiful art.
Thanks to Ashley Wood and Kim at 3A toys for the generousity, and kindness. They were wonderful hosts, and I'm so lucky to have been invited!
It was so lovely to meet Phil Hale, Jeremy and Sophie, Pitu, Darius and all the other wonderful peoples!
I'll attempt to write more when the jetlag wears off!
